THIS PROGRAM IS FOR LOW-INCOME SENIORS LOOKING FOR AFFORDABLE SUPPORTIVE LIVING ACCOMMODATIONS

Applicants will be interviewed as part of the approval process. All applications are assessed based on the need for housing with priority for the next available suite going to the applicant in most need.

Eligibility Requirements:

Applicants applying for this program must be at least 65 years of age

Applicants must be able to live independently or with Personal Care Services assistance

Spruceview Lodge (50 Units)

Spruceview Lodge was opened in 1994, as a 20 unit facility. In the fall of 2007 an additional 30 suites were added to include the Spruce View Heights and the Centennial Legacy Room. The lodge is located in a residential area in Whitecourt. Residents appreciate the comfort of being right next door to the hospital. This senior’s home has four types of rooms for rent. There are (2) two bedroom suites, which include full kitchens and a living room area; (20) one bedroom suites which include a kitchen and living room area; (8) studio suites which include a kitchenette and (20) bed sitting rooms. This lodge has a beautifully landscaped courtyard with a gazebo and a newly renovated dining room (2013 completion).

Pleasant View Lodge (51 Units)

Pleasant View Lodge is our newest lodge which was opened in 2011. It is located on the southern outskirts of the town of Mayerthorpe. It offers a quiet location right across the street from the hospital, with a short drive to downtown. The Pleasant View Lodge has (51) bed sitting rooms that include a washroom with a shower, as well as a sink and bar fridge in the living area.

Chateau Lac Ste. Anne (50 Units)

Chateau Lac Ste. Anne Lodge was opened in 2008 and is located in the south west residential area of Onoway, AB. This is a two story facility that offers (21) one bedroom suites which include a kitchen and living room area, (21) bachelor suites which include a kitchenette and (8) bed sitting rooms. It is a short drive to downtown Onoway with shopping and dining opportunities available.
